Our school was founded many years ago by Jason Bennett to offer "superior" actor training. By this, we don't mean we think we are superior to other people. We mean that our actor training is of superior quality: the highest available.

We continuously study all the other acting schools (Adler, Chekhov, Hagen, Meisner, Strasberg, Mamet, Morris, Spolin, Stanislavski and more) so that our actors are not missing out on anything: you get all the major acting tools and philosophies, synthesized into a clear, specific, practical approach to acting -- for film, television or theater. In addition, we offer services that go way beyond simple acting classes.

One reason Jason Bennett founded his own school is because a few old-fashioned schools still only teach one system, or set of rules, about how to approach acting. We do not promote rules or religions about acting. We "free" your talent. We help you cultivate your own artistic vision and statement. Our work is clear, intense and practical. Our work will empower and "liberate" you. We believe in fostering indviduality and self-sufficiency.

In our work, we honor the traditions and innovations of all the past Master acting teachers. Their work makes everything we do possible. And we take pride in going way beyond what the last generation had to offer their students. There have been so many advances in psychology and in actor training in the last 20 years alone, it could fill a book (and will soon). We take pride in offering these advances to our students. Studying current acting methods being evolved by living teachers makes a huge difference to the work -- it saves you lots of time, frustration, and money.

Stanislavski knew that actor training would evolve long after his death -- that his "system" should be improved upon and evolved. And that's exactly what has happened. And it will continue to evolve long after we are here. Because we integrate huge advances in human consciousness, psychology and acting process into the training we offer, we are confident the services we offer are unparalleled at this time.

Here is a small sampling of some the unique benefits of studying acting, voice or movement with our faculty:

• All the work we do is non-blaming, non-judgmental, non-abusive, safe and most of the time really fun! Our classes are safe and free of teacher games or manipulation -- or teachers who regret teaching. Many actors with previous training are shocked and relieved to exprience abuse-free acting classes that produce truly great work -- ours do.

• Our scene classes are among smallest in the country, and at four hours long allow you to work about an hour every single week in class -- more if you take more classes per week. Some schools have 25 students per class and you work every few weeks in classes that are only two hours long.

• We have working actors in our classes from all over the world. Our actors are respectful, political, intelligent, diverse, very ambitious, driven, ethical and full of life -- they are fun. Our classes are bursting with passion and energy. We have comedic actors, versatile actors, young and seasoned, and singers of all sorts. Jason Bennett has coached national television personalities, attorneys, activists, teachers and politicians.

• You may check out broadcast quality video cameras for free to use anywhere, anytime. We know of no school in the country that allows you to do this.

• We have a library of acting books you can borrow for free anytime. We have just about every acting book ever written, plays, and all kinds of psychology textbooks.

• Every acting class we teach can be an on-camera class. You say you want the class to be about camera work, we set up the cameras and movie projector instantly. The training is about you, not us.

• You receive many hours of private acting coaching with Jason Bennett and staff while studying with us, basically for free. No other school offers this in the country.

• You may use our film editing equipment for free, including editing and burning your own DVD reels. We know of no other country in the school that offers this.

• Our acting students make their own film and theater projects, working with aspiring filmmakers, playwrights and creative people. You can jump right in as soon as you want to. Our actors make things happen.

• In our acting classes, we can project your on-camera work up on the wall 12' x 12' , via our HDTV movie projector.

• Our classes are held in a beautiful, private, West Village location, with a refrigerator and a locker room where you can store props and anything you wish in between acting classes.
