Because of the high quality of our training, classes taught by Jason Bennett sometimes have waiting lists. We will get you in as fast as we can.

Potential students are required to take a trial acting class OR work with Jason Bennett privately before being admitted to the school. Small group trial acting classes occur about every six weeks. Alternatively, private sessions can be scheduled with Jason Bennett by appointment, call for details.

We have a generous work-study and scholarship program available to all of our actors.

Script Analysis Acting Classes in New York with Jason Bennett: In this special four week acting class, you will carefully investigate a classic play and/or movie script scene by scene, character by character -- exploring all the obligations and how to fulfill them on the deepest levels. You will discover the world-views, psychology, sociology and theatrical obligations of the material. You will deepen your ability to break down scenes, to define and *experientially create* character histories, objectives, obstacles, archetypes, actions, fantasies, dreams, etc. The obligations explored will include: Thematic, Subtextual, Physical, Mental, Emotional, Relationship, Time-Place, Historic. You will explore powerful, contemporary psychology and its application to the practical demands of professional entertainment. We will read through much of the script, improvising as we go. Often, this acting class has invited guest speakers. Scripts we work with have included: Angels in America; Miss Ever's Boys; A Streetcar Named Desire and others.
