The Jason Bennett Actor's Workshop is proud to be one of the very few New York adult acting and musical theater schools to offer acting and voice classes for teenagers in New York from the ages of 13 - 17.
We fully prepare teenage actors and singers for auditioning and getting work in television, film or theater. Our New York teen acting classes also prepare the student for advanced, adult professional acting classes with Jason Bennett and other faculty.
We teach our teenage actors and singers how to do amazing auditions for film, television or theater; all about agents; all about the casting process; and all about how to impress and develop relationships with casting directors that will get them work.
The New York acting class for teenagers begin with vital improvisational theater games that foster: spontaneity and the ability to create amazing characters; the development of the imagination (which is where great acting and singing comes from); learning to listen and respond deeply to other actors, and more!
The principles of working on camera are taught in all our New York acting classes. Teen actors are assigned scene partners and work on monologues or songs that teach them the principles of great acting.
The actors in this class may be invited to assist with or appear in our school's public shows. They may also have the opportunity to observe our advanced, adult New York acting classes.
The best way for you to decide whether our professional New York acting school is for you is to schedule an interview with the New York acting and musical theater teachers for teenagers, Jason Bennett and Marcus Peterson.
